WORKING VISA PROCEDURES

This article will explain us about  the  working  procedures permits which have to be performed by every institution ,company and  other bodies (here in after reffered as sponsor) if they intend to employ or hire  the foreigner expatriate . These procedures permits be imposed to the sponsor  if  the foreigner expatriate  work for  the sponsor   for first time  . The first chapter will  explain us  about it. (There are a few differences working  procedures permits  for those  who just extent the  permits under the same sponsor name )
A.		Procedures to get new  working visa for foreigner expatriate (reffered as FE)
		No	Procedure		Institution
		1.	Plans to hire the  foreigner expatriate/ Rencana Penggunaan Tenaga Kerja Asing (reffered as RPTKA) To hire the  F.E.,the sponsor must obtain the RPTKA  .This RPTKA is kind like manifest of the intention,purpose and term of which the sponsor  intend to hire the FE.		The ministry of manpower and transmigration . (reffered as KEMENAKERTRANS )
		2.	Recommendation of working visa  TA 01 /Rekomendasi TA. 01 (referred as TA.01) Since the RPTKA which applied has  been issued by KEMENAKERTRANS ,the sponsor should continue the  procedure by applying  the  TA. 01. This TA 01 is a recommendation from KEMENAKER for the  General directorate of immigration (referred  as DITJEN IMIGRASI)  to issue the working visa for FE.		KEMENAKERTRANS
		3.	Working visa.(3.1.2 index ) The procedures now continue in DITJEN IMIGRASI, the sponsor then must  apply the working visa, base on the TA 01 which we mention before. If DITJEN IMIGRASI  approved this application , the DITJEN IMIGRASI will sent the telex  to the embassy of Indonesia  or  the nearest consulate of Indonesia  to the position of the FE. 		4.	Stay permit of working visa This working visa is valid only if  we apply the  limited stay permit for working visa holder  (referred as KITAS) in the office of immigration (referred as KANIM) which correspond with the domicile of FE in Indonesia. Along  with KITAS ,KANIM will issued The Address Register Book know by BUKU BIRU.		KANIM
		5.	Working Permit for F.E/Ijin Menggunakan Tenaga Kerja Asing. (reffered as IMTA) This  IMTA is  given by KEMENAKER base on the RPTKA which you previously  asked,		KEMENAKERTRANS
		6.	The  card  of Indonesian Police Register/ Surat Keterangan Lapor Diri of  F.E. (referred as SKLD) The background and the record of FE then be register in The Indonesian Police Head quarter (referred as MABES POLRI). If MABES POLRI find no negative background and the record of FE it will give the  card .(referred as SKLD)		MABES POLRI
		7.	Foreigner Identity Card /Kartu Identitas Pendatang (referred as K.I.P) We need to register  FE at  citizen record and affairs office (referred as  DISDUKCAPIL) which correspond with the domicile of FE in Indonesia. This card will give us the residential  information of FE		DISDUKCAPIL
		8.	Family Card of FE /Surat Keterangan Susunan Keluarga Pendatang (referred as SKPPS) We need to register FE at  citizen record and affairs office(referred as  DISDUKCAPIL)  by making  the FE family card This family card will give us  the information about the family member of FE who join with  FE  in Indonesia. 	9.		Resident Acknowledgement Letter /Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal (referred as SKTT) The next step of residential  permit of F.E is to register him/ her at local village administration  office (referred as KELURAHAN)		KELURAHAN
	10.		The Presence Report of F.E/Wajib Lapor (referred as WP ) The last is to report the presence of F.E.  to Local Manpower and Transmigration Office/ Dinas Tenaga Kerja  dan Transmigrasi (referred as DISNAKER )		DISNAKER
B.	Procedures to get extension  working visa for foreigner expatriate (reffered as FE) Basically the procedures to extent the previous working visa is not quite different . Below are    the differences
	1.		We don`t have to perform number 2 and 3 steps
	2.		For the extension KITAS , you obtain the   IMTA  ( number 5) first then  continue to stay permit /KITAS (number 4)
	3.		For the extention of KITAS (no 4) ,you need a recommendation from Province Office of Immigration
C.	Procedures to get the visa for the  family member of F.E who join him/her to Indonesia.( non working  visa )
	1.		The sponsor directly can apply for non working visa for the family member of F.E at DITJEN IMIGRASI
	2.		Continue  the procedures of 4 ,6,7,8,9
